Program coordinators play a crucial role in supporting the habilitation needs of individuals and promoting their independence. They assess each person’s unique requirements and develop personalized programs to enhance skill-building and improve daily living activities. Their primary goal is to empower individuals to strengthen daily living skills, enhance social and emotional well-being, and foster community integration. In addition to working closely with families, guardians, and service coordinators, program coordinators also collaborate with direct support professionals who work hands-on with the individuals. By supporting and guiding staff, they ensure that direct care professionals have the tools, resources, and training necessary to provide high-quality, compassionate care. This partnership ensures that each individual can live their best life as independently as possible while respecting their unique abilities and preferences.

"My belief is that we were put into this world of wonders and beauty with a special ability to appreciate them, in some cases to have the fun of taking a hand in developing them, and also in being able to help other people instead of overreaching them and, through it all, to enjoy life."
